A competition recognized worldwide
The Student Yachting World Cup is a yearly event recognized by the International Sailing Federation (ISAF) and the French Sailing Federation (FFV) as the top competition in sailing between students. This is further underlined by the fact that many national sailing federations have an official competition for selecting the team that will participate in the SYWoC.
This means that students from the most important universities worldwide come to France to participate in the SYWoC. There are usually 20 crews representing 20 nations coming from all around the world : USA, UK, Norway, China, Singapore, Canada...gathering more han 200 students, tomorrow’s leaders all in one place, that will be exposed to your dynamic image during one week. The SYWoC thus offers you important media coverage.
The SYWoC is largely covered in the French and foreign press. In 2006, the event was featured on TV on TF1, LCI, France 2, France
3, as well as on Eurosport, with in-depth reports.
It is also featured in student press (Journal des Grandes Ecoles) and the Polytechnique alumni press.
As a partner of the SYWoC, you will naturally be present on this website, which is visited by prospective crews and students. You will also have a close contact with Polytechnique students, one of France’s most prestigious engineering school.
The SYWoC is organized by 20 students from the Ecole Polytechnique, one of the French most prestigious engineering school, and we offer you the opportunity to be your representatives on the Polytechnique campus, by transmitting your image to our fellow students.
